After two months of use of the BQ E4.5 \u00e9dition ubuntu<\/a>I think it\u2019s time to give my opinion on it. Even if the target of this phone is the opensource community and the ubunteros, many advantages can be found by the ones who would like to get away from Google or Apple. Concerning the first one, you will see that it\u2019s not so easy. However at this point of development there are many improvements needed and the OS might be a little frightening for the newbies. Please remember that we had to learn to use a Blackberry, an iPhone or an Android, so being afraid of changing our habits does not have to push us away from this device.<\/p>\n

I will not come back on the technical parts neither on all the specificities of the phone. I\u2019ll focus on the ones that I consider as important on my day to day use. That means, the phone itself, SMS, telegram, internet and e-mails. I\u2019m not a coder, so I\u2019m not using the terminal except for Dekko, the e-mail client. It\u2019s quite important to underline that I write these lines on the 18th of July 2015 as the evolution is really speedy so this review could be quickly out of date.<\/p>\n

The first thing to say is that it\u2019s really a user friendly phone, very intuitive. You\u2019ve probably seen the new way of swiping by the use of the four edges. If not, here is a video:<\/p>\n
